OLLU named to the President's Higher Education Community Service Honor Roll for sixth consecutive year!

I just saw announcement  in this week's Lake Weekly and wanted to make sure that you all saw it too. 

"OLLU has been named to the 2015 President’s Higher Education Community Service Honor Roll. This is the sixth consecutive year OLLU has received this recognition.

Through the OLLU Center for Service-Learning and Volunteerism, Community Counseling Service, Education Department, Psychology Department, Worden School of Social Service and the Harry Jersig Speech-Language-Hearing Center, students completed 165,048 hours from July 1, 2013-June 30, 2014.

The Honor Roll recognizes institutions that support exemplary community service programs and raise the visibility of effective practices in campus community partnerships. It is the highest recognition an institution can receive for its commitment to community, service-learning and civic engagement."

The number of our students who make time to engage in such meaningful community service and the number of you who dedicate your professional life to such service continues to humble and inspire me.
