Dear Students and Faculty,

This announcement summarizes some of the more notable changes that are coming as part of Engage 3.2.  You can expect this update to be implemented this Saturday, August 19.  In addition to the videos below, please be sure to visit the Support tab following the release to review the new features that have been rolled out as part of this release.

The following series of videos show the new changes in action.

This first video highlights enhancements to discussion forums, particularly for instructors. Instructors now have the capability to pin discussions to make them more visible for students.

Pinned Discussions

This next video focuses on some minor navigation and interface changes you will see after the release. Specifically, both students and instructors will now see a "course links" block on the course home page that includes some important links such as grades and calendar. Also, it is now much simpler to configure communication preferences in your profile through the redesigned "Communication settings" page.

Navigation and Interface Updates

This final video shows how the assignment grading interface has been improved to allow easier navigation and grading. Instructors can provide feedback by creating in-browser markups and annotations to student assignment submissions. Students can also view annotated PDF versions of their submissions with instructor feedback.

Sincerely,

The Engage Team
