Dear students and faculty,
The powerful winter storms affecting much of the country have caused major disruptions to the electric grid, with power outages, rolling blackouts, internet outages and even water supply issues. Our first concern is that you and your family are safe and warm. We know that these issues are affecting many students, faculty and staff, so we all need to keep compassion as our watchword.
Faculty, please be mindful of the effects of these disruptions on our students. We will work with you to help you have the maximum flexibility to accommodate our students. Please communicate with your supervisor if you need assistance or guidance.
Students, we want to assure you that if these disruptions are
affecting your ability to keep up with classes or complete assignments, the
faculty will work with you on adjusting due dates and assignments with the
necessary flexibility.
